FenDoDo’s AP Chemistry course is designed to help students excel in one of the most challenging AP sciences. Led by expert tutors, our program covers essential chemistry concepts, laboratory skills, and AP test strategies—preparing you for top scores and future STEM success.

Course Content

  • Atomic Structure & Properties: Electron configuration, periodicity, and atomic theory
  • Molecular & Ionic Compound Structure: Bonding, Lewis structures, VSEPR theory
  • Intermolecular Forces & Properties: States of matter, solutions, and IMFs
  • Chemical Reactions: Types, balancing equations, stoichiometry, and reaction predictions
  • Kinetics & Thermodynamics: Reaction rates, mechanisms, enthalpy, entropy, and spontaneity
  • Equilibrium: Dynamic equilibrium, Le Chatelier's Principle, acids & bases, titrations
  • Electrochemistry: Redox reactions, galvanic cells, electrolysis
  • Laboratory Skills: Data analysis, error calculation, experimental design
  • Exam Practice: Multiple-choice and free-response strategies, official AP-style questions, mock tests

Exam Structure

  • Section I: Multiple Choice (50%, 1 hr 30 min) — 60 questions covering atomic structure, chemical bonding, intermolecular forces, thermodynamics, kinetics, equilibrium, acids and bases, oxidation-reduction, and laboratory-based concepts.
  • Section II: Free Response (50%, 1 hr 45 min) — 7 questions requiring students to solve quantitative problems, explain reasoning, and analyze experimental scenarios, with calculators permitted.

Skills Developed

  • Scientific reasoning and problem-solving
  • Laboratory technique and safety
  • Data interpretation and analysis
  • Clear, concise scientific writing
  • Strategic AP exam approaches
  • Connections to real-world and college-level chemistry

Who Should Take AP Chemistry?

  • High school students preparing for the AP Chemistry exam
  • Learners aiming for STEM majors or competitive university admissions
  • Students who want to strengthen problem-solving and laboratory skills
  • Anyone seeking a solid foundation for college-level science

College Credit

Many U.S. colleges grant credit or advanced placement for high AP Chemistry scores (usually a 4 or 5). This can satisfy introductory chemistry or lab course requirements, allowing students to advance to higher-level chemistry, biochemistry, or STEM courses earlier in their college curriculum.
