FenDoDo’s AP Environmental Science course is designed to help students excel in one of the most interdisciplinary AP sciences. Led by expert tutors, our program covers key environmental concepts, laboratory and field skills, and AP test strategies—preparing you for top scores and future success in STEM or environmental studies.
Course Content
- Earth Systems & Resources: Geology, soil, water, atmosphere, and energy flows
- The Living World: Ecosystems, energy flow, biodiversity, and population dynamics
- Population: Human population growth, demographics, and carrying capacity
- Land & Water Use: Agriculture, forestry, urban development, and resource management
- Energy Resources & Consumption: Renewable and nonrenewable energy, efficiency, and environmental impacts
- Pollution: Air, water, and soil pollution, waste management, and mitigation strategies
- Global Change: Climate change, ozone depletion, and environmental policies
- Laboratory & Field Skills: Data collection, analysis, graphing, and experimental design
- Exam Practice: Multiple-choice and free-response strategies, official AP-style questions, and mock tests
Exam Structure
- Section I: Multiple Choice (50%, 1 hr 30 min) — 80 questions covering earth systems, ecology, population, land and water use, energy, pollution, and global change, including quantitative analysis and environmental case studies.
- Section II: Free Response (50%, 1 hr 30 min) — 3 questions requiring students to analyze environmental data, design experiments, and explain real-world environmental scenarios, with calculators permitted.
Skills Developed
- Scientific reasoning and problem-solving
- Laboratory and field research techniques
- Data interpretation, analysis, and graphing
- Clear, concise scientific writing
- Strategic AP exam approaches
- Understanding real-world environmental issues and sustainability
Who Should Take AP ES?
- High school students preparing for the AP Environmental Science exam
- Learners aiming for STEM, environmental studies, or sustainability-focused majors
- Students who want to strengthen analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
- Anyone seeking a solid foundation for college-level science and real-world environmental applications
College Credit
Many U.S. colleges grant credit or advanced placement for high AP Environmental Science scores (usually a 4 or 5). This can satisfy introductory environmental science or lab course requirements, allowing students to advance to higher-level environmental studies, ecology, or STEM courses earlier in their college curriculum.
